With the combination of chocolate protein powder, frozen banana, spinach, almond milk, honey, peppermint extract and chopped dark chocolate, this smoothie is sweet, rich and satisfying!
You wouldn’t even know it contained leafy greens at all.
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (recommendation: ‘Garden of Life’ Plant based protein powder)
1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed and chia seeds
1 cup of baby spinach (or big handful), or can do 1/2 cup spinach and 1/2 cup kale,
1 medium banana (or 1/2 avocado)
1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract,
4 ice cubes
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (recommendation: MALK)
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of dairy-free dark chocolate (recommendation: Enjoy Life
Blend all of the ingredients except for the dark chocolate. If the mixture is too thick add more almond milk until desired consistency. Garnish with dark chocolate.
